Well, since dethtoll is obviously against the idea, even going so far to call anyone with the effrontery to
neg any post of his a oversensitive ninny or known troll. I kinda think it would be enlightening if you could set it so you can only vote up or down dethtolls posts. Just to see what the general attitude is. Just a thought. (oh, and if you flame me dethtoll, you are an oversensitive ninny and known troll if you do) :D

If I recall though, the other forums have a system in place to prevent abuse; I think you can only give negative points once per thread or something

Well yeah, I think a system to prevent abuse would be a necessity with such an option.

Yeah, but TTLG is
not 'other forums', ffs. That's one of the reasons most of us are still here. And yes, TTLG
does have a 'Report Post' option (bottom-left corner of every post) in case you think someone's post is offensive or way out of line.
If you want to thank someone, then post your thanks or send them a private message. If you don't know who's credible or not in this place, then you haven't been lurking long enough. Assigning each poster a reputation via the use of a thanks button??? Sounds waaaayy too highschool for me.
