I've seen this done in a lot of other forums, (e.g. (

http://bolt.cd/board/radio-spoken-word/591980-sounds-twentieth-century-3.html)) where you have a "thanks" option for each post, and by thanking the forum member it automatically adds to their reputation (which is displayed next to their username) and this can be used to assess whether the user is usually credible or not; there's also the option of removing points from the user if you disapprove of the post. I always thought this was a neat concept and it might work well here at TTLG. Just putting it out there

This is one of the worst ideas I've seen since the last time lost_soul or mothra posted. Terrible. The forum doesn't need this Youtube/Reddit/etc. bullshit, because it's not that kind of forum. If this were a porno passwords sharing forum, yeah, maybe.
Not to mention "reputations" would be a waste of time because it'd just be everybody slapping -1 on everyone they didn't like (and before you point out that I'm only saying that because I know it'd happen to me, yes I'm well aware that there are plenty of oversensitive ninnies and known trolls who would abuse the shit out of it.)
