So im doing a replay of SS2 again, for the third time, now on Impossible. I went Navy and spent modules on hack 2 and atm i have 19 modules and am on the first O/S upgrade machine. So, what do you think i should spend my points ? Maybe get some more hacking so i can hack vending machines for cheaper stuff as the prices are outrageous... or go for a melee boost / overhand punch?

I usually get "Lethal weapon" as my first O/S upgrade since I use wrench a lot during first few decks. As for normal upgrades, I wouldn't upgrade hack anymore right now, but would concentrate on your offensive skills. I usually don't start buying stuff until I get my hands on a recycler.

I'd get lethal weapon too. It makes all the difference against the hybrids (especially the shotgun ones) in the early parts of the game.

My usual tactic involves getting Lethal Weapon as the first OS Upgrade, and getting to Hack 4 as quickly as possible, so that I can hack turrets. Engineering gets a lot easier with the turrets on our side.

Hah, i never knew it was possible to hack turrets.. that is pretty neat. Down in engineering at the moment, 16 hp to go on is pretty tight but it works. Maybe i´ll get Tank at the next O/S upgrade.

I don't know about the hacking turrets part. The only useful turret hacking is when they are two in the same room. If you leave a turret alone fighting enemies, it will be destroyed before long.

That's not what happens to the turret right outside the bulkhead room in engineering. Not only it lasts forever, but it also kills every enemy that spawns around those parts.

Do you mean it's invulnerable to enemy fire? It can certainly be destroyed by me. :erm:

It's not invulnerable, it simply kills all the enemies without them destroying it. First, because they try to get closer before attacking it, and second, because most of them are just interested in getting to the bulkhead, and are therefore killed as they pass by the turret.

Er, how do you hack turrets? Do you have to run up to them, or is it at the security panel?
