I just tried that for the first time, after getting five electric batteries. The process of repairing the suit is painfully slow, even with all five batteries equipped. Still, it certainly beats coughing up the money to buy a new suit.

I'm curious why this happens. Is the logic that with 101+ % protection you instead receive energy by the percent above 100 and it gets added to the armor-points?

Pretty much.
Seems pretty straightforward, codewise. Damage = damage * (1-armor protection) * (1-artifact protection), and there's no check for negative damages.
And yeah D'Arcy, it's slow, even with 5 of em, standing in a place where you get steadily zapped by 2 electric anomalies. I only use it with suits that are painfully hard to replace, like the armored mil suit where you find the decoder.

Isn't it just a sandwich-process? Just put yourself on an anomaly, double check any enemies that may be close, and if all is clear, go make a sandwich.
