What about SS2 in the Pac Man engine? I've heard good things about that re: claustrophobic environs, short load times, and even the possible sighting of 'ghosts' caused by glitches in the early version of the military-grade cybernetic implant.

well i hexedited a file for thief once it was ALTAR.BIN and inside it had the texture name in HEXADECIMALS and it was all ALTAR.GIF and i changed it to BUTTS.GIF but then it jus turned purple in the game :erm:
anyway now i can't find it so i guess you'll just have to TAKE MY WORD FOR IT

A friend of me got the old "Pirates of the Carribean" (German Version)
the other Day.
But his CRT was so old, he had serious Problems to see anything,
because it was all so dark. I dived into it and found out, that theres
a workaround. I "switchmodded" the Game to english and then there were the
Gamma-Controls available. Also, after some more Fumbling i re-enabled
the Char-selection-part, as in the "normal" Game you only could play as the
Mainactor, now i could play as the Female...
Of course, my Friend wasnt so delighted. He barely can understand english
So...
What about the Plan to change SS1 in a Way, that you play as
A: the Zombie Harvey (constantly reborn, trying to protect Shodan)
B: Shodan itself (The whole games take place in the Cyberspace)
C: Peter M. Wilkes, a Canadian Salesman at Trioptimum who tries to solve the
Mystery of some errorfilled Sheets of Calculation Data of his Salesdepartment.
