Why hasn't anyone suggested this before? Clearly this is the way to go.
1) Near-instantaneous level loading times.
2) Ultra-high resolution models using advanced 'sprite' technology.
3) Powerful content-creation tools such as 'hexedit.exe'.
4) Immunity to any criticism, or fear of being 'shut down' due to the complete ridiculousness of the idea.

I get instant load times in SS2 with the current engine already, the only "load time" is when switching between menu resolution and the in-game res. :cheeky:
