Bonus:
Combined Thief Gold & Thief II HQ Paintings PackMost of the textures are 1024x1024 in size. Textures were completely made from internet images with corresponding art, used in Thief games. Except for 2 images that were taken from EP2 but slightly modified.
It's a HQ textures just for paintings which are retaining more vanilla look like in original games in size, gamma and saturation. EP1 and EP2 versions for some reason are quite different than of the original game. I tried to preserve the original game look.
Pack is for Thief Gold and Thief II. If you are installing it for Thief Gold - there will be redundant files for Thief 2 in folder, but it will not interfere with the game in any way. The same is for Thief II.
Installation is as always - just unpack into USERMODS folder, overwriting everything. Install it after ESRGAN textures.

Common installation procedure:
1. Install Thief Gold or Thief II
2. Install TFix or T2Fix
3. Install ESRGAN main pack

5. Install ESRGAN EP1 pack (authentical or non-authentical)
6. Install latest ESRGAN fix
7. Install HQ paintings
(otional) 8. Install ESRGAN video pack in any order

No other problems so far. As for Thief Gold/Thief II...
Thief Gold is more complex, bigger levels, strange pagan atmosphere, all this caves. I like it better even if I need two hours just to navigate the empty map. Thief II is more polished, levels are simplier and brighter. There is outstanding map design in terms of architecture and visual look and details and engine capabilities, but overall they are easier and smaller.

That's the general consensus, yeah. TDP/Gold is more mysterious, the setting is way less steampunk and more medieval, and Garrett almost acts like an adventurer rather than a plain, regular thief. Thief 2 is more focused on stealth and actual thieving, and The City is more advanced and 'clean' in its design... after only 1 year apart from Gold, somehow. :laff: Unfortunately, it's more rushed than Thief 1 and while there are great missions, there are also real stinkers.
Thief 3 suffered consolitis (as you're seeing with the textures...) and simplified a lot of things because of that. The idea of The City being one big level that takes you to the actual levels wasn't bad, though, as we only got to explore it on very specific missions. Despite its simplification, I thought the low points are higher than the previous games, and its high points
really high. Looking back at it, some parts give The Dark Mod vibes, so you can take it as a prelude before trying TDM fan missions.
