Moin,
it's only in German, but it says the release was not postponed:

Quote:
Translation:
Rumours of the moving of the publishing date of First-Person RPG "Arx Fatalis" to mid-August were demented today by the publisher "Fishtank Interactive". Thus the official release date should be still 23.th May.
End of Translation.
I *know* I will buy it ASAP.
Have fun,

Is this yet another example of publishers rushing a game despite the devs needing more time to polish it, (like Eidos did with Thief2) or has all the bugs been taken care of already? Hopefully the latter, otherwise we'll be downloading patch after patch after patch....
I will definately buy it regardless, this is one game I'm really looking forward to.
Besides I think Raf won't release it unless he's convinced the game's actually finished.

Its hard to believe that its almost here, considering the amount of time that I've been looking forward to its release. The only problem is that it might end up taking a long time for it to reach retail outlets in Australia.

I can't wait for this game to come out. The only problem is, I will finally be forced to upgrade my PIII600/GeForce2 computer. I played the demo and I had to turn all the detail settings down to low. And it still ran shaky. That sucks.

Strange, 1 Ghz AMD and Geforce 2 MX went quite fine. But I am planning to upgrade anyway (new OFP version comes in Summer - just waiting for the prices on Geforce 4 4200 or 3 TI 200 to drop :-)

Arx needs a huge amount of RAM, that's a fact, but maybe you wouldn't have to upgrade your computer if they had perform enough optimizations between the demo and the retail
in any case, I have a GeForce 256 and it's rocks ! (but I also have an XP1800+ ... 512 Mo)

Welp.........it's May 23 now? Where's Arx?? :cheeky: :cheeky:

I know how you feel, alkene, but in some ways the later the better.
Gingerbread Man on 24/5/2002 at 07:15
Yup.
Better late than half-cooked, that's the rule.
