Ok...I don't know if this has been suggested but I'll give it a shot. Well....Psi Ampules are abit too rare to make psi a viable class. Is there a way to make Psi regenerate? And before anyone jumps down my thought and says "Why don't you make the mod?" I don't know anything it the least about ShockED.

Are not.

I'm not positive as I haven't played in awhile, but I think you can buy them from the vending machines. Nanites aren't exactly rare either. Just start beating up on hybrids.

The psi career is just very uneven. In the beginning you are forced to beat people with a longish metal piece although you're too weak to hold your breakfast, while later on you kill mammoths by looking at them squarely.

I think that pretty much describes the mage in about every rpg I've ever seen.

I always play as OSA, and I love it each time, I force myself to try not to use guns if possible - although assault rifles with AP rounds are useful for taking down bots/cyborgs.
The wrench is certainly your best friend for much of the game. But what I like most with playing as a Psi character is there are so many "routes" you can take with regards to what powers you buy as well as the stats upgrades you do. It just takes time to become powerful in Psi - but i'm in full agreement with Kolya's statement:

Pretty much sums it up lol

Yeah, that parallel has been drawn a few times. While it serves to emphasize the RPG qualities of System Shock 2, it's still lousy gameplay. Whether you are a weak psi novice or a wise master of the arts, it's not much fun. Fortunately you can mix psi quite well with other careers.

I find the real problem with Psi or magic is that in most games, all it is, is another weapon...
Bioshock is a good example. Most people I know just use the offensive powers, usually when they run out of ammo.
The problem with SS is that you don't get anything early enough to warrant the average gamer using Psi powers. Something like bioshocks version of telekenisis wouild have been nice to get early. Worth spending the modules but not overpowered. Would have been really cool to be able to grab a protocol droid and use it as a grenade!
