Both the PC and Mac versions I have came without a front sleeve if there ever was one. Always thought it odd, but the graphics on the CD itself is enough really.

I still have my System Shock floppy disks :cheeky:
My CD doesn't have Terminal Access in it - I have the hard copy of the manual instead, along with an install guide, a reference card, and a postcard advertising that System Shock I.C.E. Breaker is coming soon :)

Same here and it wasn't unusual for Origin at the time. My copies of SS1, Underworld 1+2 CD and Ultima 7 collection all lack case lid sleeves.

I own two different type of installation CD-ROM discs. Does anyone know if LG ever pressed a third type of CD? I havn't done a file comparison yet to determine a difference in the actual Shock files, but one has the terminal access on it, and one doesn't. Both also have a slightly different CD art, one uses a smaller font and a slightly smaller scale of the elite cyborg dude.
In the US, I believe those are the only 2 versions; one from the early pressings when the game came with a hardcopy manual in a big box like the original floppy disc version, and one later, a "CDROM Classics" version with the manual on the disc in a slim box. Technically, there was also a reprint of the latter version that came with a mini-manual as the insert on the front ("Electronic Arts Presents" version). That one was just a CD case with the aforementioned manual and the disc. ((

Other countries I can't speak for.

Now that is AWESOME!
From what google translate is willing to let me make sense out is, that all texts are translated, but audio is still in english.*
The game was released in Japan by a company called Infinity Corporation in 1996 or 2000?
Could you even by that in stores in Japan? I'm not sure about that.
*It would be very cool to have this files. This either means you need monayy (lots) and/or contacts to some japanese Shock fans. I have neither.
