They've only had the house a few hours and the US is already mired in an unwinnable overseas war. Tsk!
But really - America, your elections confuse the hell out of me. Places where Democrats were winning were also banning/outlawing/messing around with gay marriage laws. Some of the guys being returned were .. uh .. actually pretty indistinguishable in policy to Republicans. Virginia especially seemed to be THE BATTLE OF THE UTTER FUCK-UPS.
gg on reversing the single-party monopoly on power though.
I also heard there was now a Socialist (obviously just one) in Congress?! That seems unlikely, but hilarious.
(ps - a real one, not a PINKO COMMIE MARXIST! aka; a moderate rightist on the wrong side of the media)

For what? Voting for guys who want to cut down the bloated size of the federal government and get us out of some of the senseless stuff we're involved in? If anybody thinks things are going to vastly improve with the Democrats, they are the ones lacking in intelligence. Both parties are two sides of the same coin, if more people quit playing along with their garbage-things just might have a chance of improving.

Now if only the Libertarian party actually followed its ideals to any further degree than "git yer mits off mah moneys!".
Ko0K on 8/11/2006 at 16:42
Yeah, but when did you ever see the good win the battle in this country? It's always been about the lesser of two evils. A change in direction is what's called for, and casting your vote on something that you already know isn't going to do diddly squat is a waste by any definition.
Dr Sneak on 8/11/2006 at 16:47
If you choose between the lesser of two evils, evil will always be what you have to choose from. After 8 years of Clinton and 6 of George W. I will never vote for a Redtardion or Democrap again when there are 3rd party alternatives available.

Money is power, controlling the money supply would put a big brake on what the federal government can screw up. Remember the original Constitution didn't have an income tax, once they got it amended in the early 20th century-the government really began to run wild.
