I heard that you get the girls from the HoED to be wives for your guards at your stronghold. I spoke with the owner and all she says is that she will ask them. I speak to the girls in the bar and I have no subject matter for wives. Do I just need to go back to my stronghold? Does the owner send other girls than the ones currently in the bar?

Just talk to random women wandering around Ald-Ruhn. I know one of the ones I found was wandering the city.
