bah, bring it :) The guards are just a warm up...past them...a guy with full deadric armor (tower shield), complemented with the Dragon Bone cuirass, Wraithguard, Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw, the left Fist of Randagulf, the Robe of Drake's Prode, Marana's ring, boots of blinding speed, and some hand made sanctuary items. Total constant effect:
40% resist normal weps
45% reflect
100% sanctuary
125% resist fire
immune to poison
immune to desease
(levitate if neeeded)
~300 armor rating
Sunder, neverar's sword, a deadric bow and an enchanted deadric war axe with 60 restore health on strike at my disposal....

You should try getting Ebony Mail oats. It's medium but has the same armor rating as Dragonbone Cuirass. With your extra 25% of fire resistance you'll still maintain 100% resistance, plus other side effects (one of them being, I think, constant effect shield 50 pts.)

It was the constant effect shield that made me give up the Ebony Mail. I got sick of walking around in a giant soap bubble.
