Here is the quote from my journal:
Quote:
I was told that to get to @Drulene Falen#'s herd, I should take the road to @Gnisis#, take the left fork as soon as I enter the hills, then take the next fork to the right. Drulene is almost due west of @Ald'ruhn#.
I've looked high and low for the gal, and yes, I've read the blue subtitles ,of the journal, in-depth but I'm unable to locate her or her herd. I've even tried flying around to the west with no luck. The only thing I want to know is how far away is she and is she outside or inside a building/cave/hole-in-the-wall ? A more discriptive direction would be nice too, like, southwest of the bottem or top part of Ald'ruhn.

hmm....its a bit in the middle of nowhere, but if you have found Anderseth on the west coast then from there go east and slightly north. Its directly in between Salothran Ancestral Tomb to the north, and Telvayn Ancestral Tomb to the south.
If you cant find it that way then from ald-ruhn go west and about 2/3rd's the way to Andersoth is Drulene Fallon's Hut
Hope this helps:cheeky:

Now I have another problem: I talked with the gal (?) in Ald'ruhn for the construction of my Redoran stronghold, she said I need a land deed and construction contract before the construction can begin. As instructed, I went to discuss the building of my Redoran stronghold with Duke Vedam Dren in Ebonheart. He said that I already recieved the construction contract for my stronghold in House Hlaulla and that he would not issue me another. I went to Dondos Driler and talked to him about it but he says I don't need no stinking construction contract, so I killed the bastard and looked in his inventory to take the House Hlaulla one back but the dude didn't have the land deed or construction contract on his person. Has anyone run into this before ? Or, is there a way to get around this problem ?
Thanks,
howie

Hrm... howie, you really, really, really oughta know better by now, man :p
1) The Redoran stronghold builder wants the contract and 5000 gold; no land deed.
2) You already got a Hlaalu Stronghold, and Vedam's no fool; he'll give you exactly one contract.
3) There's at least a dozen reasons you shouldn't try and join two Houses at the same time, regardless of the fact that that bug lets you do so. This is one of them.
4) Just
thinking of the hysterics you must be causing the poor game is giving me sympathetic shudders of horror.:eww:
Edit: Btw, if you're just looking for the contract's object ID then go to (
http://morrowind.ttlg.com/spoiler) and look under 'Quests', then 'Redoran', and then look at the Stronghold section to get the object ID of the contract. The rest should be obvious. On the other hand, if you're trying to do it w/out the console, good luck ;)
Edit2: Damned typos.. fixed the link.

Forsythe, your link is broken, but the logic sounds good, cheat like hell and let the editor do the talking for me. I just need a better link. And by the way, I'm gonna do the Telvanvia (whatever it's called House :p ) editor cheat, so you might as well tell me how to get do it without the Counsel. I already killed all of them a long time ago because they told me I couldn't join two houses. Well, I said, if I can't join you I might as well kill all you bastages....so I did! Much to my surprise, I did not get the message of ultimate doom for all of Morrowind kind.

I thought i read somewhere that when you build a stronghold in one house, that the other two rival strongholds are built along with it. Therefore it would be impossible to make them your strongholds.....unless of course you killed everyone in them and made them yours:sly: Ive had the full house hlaalu stronghold built twice, but never ran into the other two.....so maybe i misunderstood what i had read. It was in the official strategy guide i think. I dunno.

It's not like you couldn't have spotted the small typo in that URL, buddy ;)
Anyhow, to the meat of the matter... I've never felt insane enough to try it, but there's two ways to join a faction... "PCJoinFaction factionName" and "PCRaiseRank factionName" (capitalization is just for readability; the console doesn't care). I've read on here that the way to switch houses is to use the 1st of those, so I suspect the Redoran-Hlaalu bug is related to the 2nd. As such, try this:
PCRaiseRank Telvanni
MaxSkills: What howie's doing is using a known bug that lets you join Hlaalu even if you're in another House. (How'd you do it, btw, howie? Vedam Dren after you kill Orvas?)

I found a post of yours on the console command after a search on the Great House of Redoran. I tried joining the normal way but could not locate the correct person to join the house. I actually got some duties from a gal in Vivec before joining the house. She wouldn't give me anymore duties so I did the command hoping she would give me more which she did. Those duties eventually ended. Having no one else to turn to in Vivec I started searching through other towns to find someone that would. I ended up in Redoran House in Ald'ruhn where I found the gal I should have went to in the first place. All those duties I performed really started paying off as she advanced me four (or so) positions as I kept clicking advancement. I lucked out again finding the right gal to start the building of my stronghold. It's weird because no one was telling me who I should see next for more duties or advancement, I just found them on my own. It's almost like the game knew I wasn't suppose to be in the house in the first place.

FYI - I didn't want to start the game over to join other factions so I thought I'd get the most out of one char and join as many as I could -- for me, it's more of an issue of not having time to start the whole game over again (lots of crap going on in my personal life right now). I managed to rise to the top of; Thieves guild, Mages, House Hlaalu, Morag Tong, Fighters Guild, Imperial cult, Imperial Legion, and the Temple. The Imperial Legion and House Redoran are the only two that have given me any serious problems. I managed to get through the Morag Tong without getting kicked out of any factions, however, I did have to reload a couple of time to accomplish it. There was one gal I had to assassinate in the thieves guild to get Master....she....did create some problems killing and why I'm not sure (luck, AI position, my position, how fast I killed her or what ?).

Well, the "normal" people to let you join will never do so if you're already of another House (as you likely know), so I don't know why you'd even try ;) And you do know that you won't be able to do all of the quests in all of the Houses, right? (Heck, I'll be surprised if you can get top ranking in 'em all w/out using the console)
