I fancy starting a new character to join the Redoran House but of course I want to be different and edit the knight class a bit to create my custom dark knight (combat, magic type) so i was wondering if anyone could tell me what House Redoran's favourite skills are?

Long blade, spear, medium armor, heavy armor are on the list for certain.
I'm not certain about these but I think also: Marksman, armourer and athletics.

Doesn't it list them in the "Factions" section of your inventory screen? On the upper-left display (the one with all your skill levels) if you scroll down, you should see which factions you belong to. Hover over each name with your mouse and it will display relevant info: your level, your skills needed to achieve your next level, and that faction's Favorite Skills.
Of course, I could be wrong - I finished the whole game and never joined a house. But I know that all other factions are listed there. Seems to me the Houses would be too.

Yeah, if anyone belonging to the Redoran House could list those skills I'd be grateful. :)
Seems to me Redoran is a pretty unpopular - is everyone a member of the Telvanni or something?
I'm looking for a Great House that my Dark Elf 'Dark Knight' custom character can advance in without suffering to much from not majoring/minoring in enough of the faction's favourite skills.
Dark Knight -
(Major - Long Blade, Heavy Armour, Athletics, Destruction, Mysticism)
(Minor - Speechcraft, Armourer, Enchant, Restoration, Alteration)

I think they're less often chosen simply because Hlaalu are the easiest to join for a new player, and once you've been thru the Telvanni have the most atmosphere with their odd towers and odder leaders. My 3rd time thru (assuming my interest lasts that long) will probably be Redoran.

Yeah I've heard about the Telvanni and their wizard towers i have to admit they sound great but I'm a warrior at heart and I do so love my Dai-Katana. ;)
The idea of a Dark Elf Knightly Order/House appeals to me - I just hope they have better quests / atmosphere than the Morag Tong. :(
On a trip to Ald ruhn with my last character I stumbled across what I think was their HQ and the leaders looked awesome in my opinion - they wore various pieces of shining steel armour, wielded double handed swords, and wore some sort of cream ceremonial 'skirt' (for want of a better word) which looks far better than it sounds.
Has anyone else seen these guys?
