From next year Morro, Microsoft's forthcoming antivirus and security solution, will (

How does OneCare stack up against the big-name third party programs?

in a word.... "SH**E"
you get what you pay for and in this instance free = crap
I suggest Kaspersky AV, I run it on all 3 of my Pc's for £60 for a 2yr licence.

OneCare isn't free as I understand it. It's subscription based.
Unless you are talking about the new software, in which case it's a tad stupid to say "SH**E" before it is even released.

Being that it's Microsoft, you just know they're going to bury all sorts of stuff in the EULA, like monitoring and WGA validation and who knows what else. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.
