I'm glad it's on Gamepass so I don't have to make a $70 decision.
That's actually what I've done (Game Pass sub for 1 month), to have a sneak peek. ;)

I'm glad I have impulse control so I can just wait until it's down to $30.
That reminds me, looks like Steam currently has most Arkane games at around 80% off.

Unfinished, glorified early access game that was made to cynically collect revenue through by box ticking of popular trends that would stand out to corporate executives. Co-op, "looter shooter" ARPG, Stranger Things inspired 1980's pop culture window dressing, etc. Reeks of a studio that isn't desperate to justify their continued existence to their corporate masters. Zenimax was likely on the verge of downgrading Arkane to a Bethesda Game Studios support studio if MS hadn't had bought them.

No drop in, drop out MP. Only the host progresses. What a shit show.

If Skyrim sold so well, where's Elder Scrolls 6 anyway.
BGS is the goose that lays the golden eggs. Todd Howard is like Christopher Nolan, his financial success track record has afforded him the resources + time to work on practically whatever TF he wants within a high budget blockbuster entertainment industry. (BGS' only failure within the last three gens of consoles was probably Fallout 76, which was a spin-off worked on mainly by B-team studios anyway.)

Actually, it's in planning and development since 2018. Bethesda just had a lot to do in the meantime, with maintaining Fallout 76, and developing Starfield. Elder Scrolls 6 will be the next game they release after Starfield. As games are hugely oversized monsters these days, I don't expect it to arrive before 2026 or so though. If even. People want it BIG these days. Yeah baby! Size matters. Quantitiy over quality. That's the modern gamer crowd.

(
https://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/redfall) 62% Metacritic average, based on 18 reviews.
Welp, I wasn't expecting big things, but judging from the Gman video it looks like it might still be fun in co-op. At the price of free (via gamepass) I wouldn't mind giving this a go, tho I think I'll wait a bit for a few patches.

I actually quite liked the first hour. TBH, especially these days, I wouldn't give much on reviews.
What rather annoys me is that I can't play it in English. Why does only Steam allow to easily switch games to the language you like to play the games with? The German dubbing is once again very average,

And for a take that doesn't have a clickbaity thumbnail attached,(
https://www.eurogamer.net/a-third-of-the-way-in-redfall-is-characterful-and-fun-and-currently-a-little-bit-janky) here's Christian Donlan's relatively positive impressions (he admits that it lacks polish but that he's enjoying it anyway).

But this game already has an awful lot of charm, and that's much harder to patch in after the fact.
I can't play it since I don't have the hardware, but given that Arkane Austin made Prey, which was the SS2 spiritual successor we didn't deserve, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt.

That's basically why I even checked it out, after Deathloop was totally not my cup of tea. Enjoyed the first 2 hours playing it on Xbox Game Pass, and bought it earlier in the Green Gaming Deal, because I really want to play it in English. I expect it to be a fun game (I really liked the game world), nothing game breaking, and probably with a lot more repetitive gameplay than the other Arkane games, unfortunately (because that's also something people seem to want these days, and which has been criticized about Redfall.
What I absolutely don't understand (once again) is the review bombing. Kids these days. I bet none of these people have even played it longer than an hour or so. Maybe Steam should do it like Amazon, and only allow reviews after 20 hours of gameplay, minimum.
Lol, I was right... reading how long they played the game now. 0,7 hours, 1,2 hours, 1,6 hours, 1,4 hours... great. :)
