Well, thanks for that, Microsoft. Meanwhile Lyon's been drafted in the Marvel adaptation coalmines, I hope that game comes out swinging, but it's not like making a good game is a guarantee of Microsoft's beneficence; Tango had a hit with Hi-Fi Rush, and Austin did some great, inventive stuff with Prey, but apparently that isn't worth a damn when it comes to executive decision making.

As far as TTLG folks go, I think Dana, Purah, and skacky all work for the Lyon office, but I believe Hipbreaker was working in Austin. Here's hoping he finds something else quickly.
Edit: Not so sure on Purah now, I read a few things about how he did a bunch of work on Redfall, and that he's currently living in Texas.

They never fulfilled the contract to develop two playable heroes for the Redfail season pass. Class action lawsuit potential by consumers.

Sounds like they were forced to make a game they didn't want to make, lost most of their staff during development because of that, and now the same management who imposed it on the studio decided to axe them because the game flopped. I hope some heads rolled at Microsoft and Zenimax for this.

Critical acclaim and awards ain't worth shit if you're financially in the red. If Hi Fi Rush didn't make up for the losses taken on Ghost Wire Tokyo then them's the brakes.

Middle and upper management only get hit if something truly disastrous has happened (like losing several hundred million dollars), they get sent to jail or they embezzle the corporation. Every other shitstorm gets sent downwards, because it's far cheaper to fire a bunch of lower level employees and then rehiring when there's a need (and you also save wages & prevent unions forming (in the US) that way).
