I spoke to a guy in the temple and found out that there is supposed to be a guy in Ald Ruhn selling red ash statues. Where is he?
Thanks

I want to say it's the Dunmer guy standing in that under-the-kitchen area at the Rat in the Pot, but it's been awhile so I'm not 100% sure.

What exactly are the ash statues for in the game anyway? Ive beaten the game 4 times now and have never found a person with the "ash statue" topic in his dialogue that will actually tell me the story behind them or what their use is in the game.

I found the guy selling the statues, but this doesn't complete the temple side quest!
Thanks

MaxSkills: From what I remember, Lloros Sarano (in the Ald'Ruhn Temple) says there are magicks on them that 'influence' people. For example, Varvur killed his buddy under their influence. Further, they seem to be a beacon of sorts for Dagoth Ur's minions, as
Morvayn Manor can attest to
(a statue was hidden in there, and corprus critters popped up). Lastly, next time you're in a Sixth House cave, look closely at those tall black pillars with niches in 'em; many of the niches have ash statues in 'em (maybe being consecrated/enchanted, maybe just for decoration; who knows?)
Ganderthoth: This one's pretty touchy, alright; look over here for specific instructions:

I remember going in there thinking one of the councelors was in there to complete the hortator quest, i searched that damned house for an hour. Then i regained my senses and just clicked on her name in the dialogue for one of the towns people and got my answer to where she was.....i felt pretty dumb after that. Anyways ive seen the statues in the sixth house bases, and the one in the manor. Now i know were the corprus monsters came from, heh. Thanx for enlightening me Forsythe:cheeky:
