So I've had a series of dreams that are very similar. The dream is not a nightmare. In each of the dreams I am in a rather large older house that is kept up well, but well lived in. The common thread between the dreams is that each house has many fireplaces or wood/coal stoves. The fireplaces/stoves are sometimes so numerous that they make up most of the supporting structure. Some have fires burning in them and others are cold and dirty. There are even fire pits and other decorative fire burning structures around the outside yard.
Also, often times there will be people in the house that are friends or family. There is also a small single person elevator in each dream in order to get to the basement. The basement also has many fireplaces/stoves. Often times the basement has two parts that have to be accessed two different points. There is also usually a large kitchen and walk-in refrigerator that I can see back into but can never seem to enter. I usually am just having normal conversations with the people in the dream and even drinking a beer. There never seems to be and urgency or fear during the dreams either. These dreams have occurred over a long period of time at random times.
I'm not good at analyzing dreams so I thought I'd take my chances here in comm chat.

The abundance of fireplaces in various stages could mean that you have various stable relationships with friends and family that together provide a safe social place for you in which you feel sheltered and fearless. Their friendly protection keeps you from pursuing some options in your life, however that's normal and doesn't seem to bother you too much. One of these options is simply the absence of their warmth and it's likely you don't have much desire to enter that anyway. I'm not sure about the kitchen, it depends on what you associate with this. The same goes for the rest of course. Without knowing your personal life's circumstances it's a guess. It seems to be a happy dream in which you are surrounded by the people you love. But if your life looks vastly different, it might actually depict what you are longing for.

This dream is clearly acceptance (normal conversations, beer) that you're going to hell (fire, basement) tinged with a distant longing for somewhere cooler, like heaven (walk-in freezer).
