The one thing I liked about the aliens (Grays) is that the scientists expected to learn a lot of advanced technology from them, but since they were just clones who had no alien parents, they ended up just being like monkeys. I thought that was pretty funny.

Well, there is that one log which suggests they are not quite that stupid... In my opinion the monkey reference meant they simply are uneducated.
