I've taken to watching shows on my iPad in bed as I'm falling asleep recently. So far I've watched Angry Video Game Nerd, The Maria Bamford Show, Comedy Bang Bang, Childrens Hospital, and a bit of Mystery Science Theatre 3000. But now I'm running out of episodes and ideas! AVGN worked best out of those, the others were either too long, too short, or too funny.
Looking for recommendations along these criteria:
-Should be on YouTube preferably. (Flash-based stuff won't work on the iPad)
-funny, but not too funny.
-slightly terrible.
-~15-20 minutes per episode.
Thanks in advance! :bored:

Also check out journal/gaming sites like escapist. I watch Jimquisition, Zero Punctuation, AVGN and Extra Credit. (
http://www.ted.com/) TED also has some good talks if you're into more smarty stuff.

I'm a sucker for the YogsCast. Comedy video game playthrus (Minecraft heavy). There are 8 channels now, though (
http://www.youtube.com/bluexephos) BlueXephos is still the lead and best one, and each one has released a 15 minute video guaranteed every day for the last ~2 years now. And they're legit funny but not too funny. Slightly terrible is one of their specialties.

Watched some Classic Game Room last night. Pretty good!
I like Zero Puncuation so I'll be sure to check out the other escapist shows too, and Yogscast sounds familiar. They're all going on my watching-list. :)

At first I thought it was just the silliest thing ever, but I'm addicted now. Duncan/Lalna is ok too and Sips& Sjin have thier moments, but tend to be more childish.
The girl, I think it's Simon's girlfriend, tends to be a bit annoying. Talking and saying stupid shit which turns me off most LetsPlays.
AnyPodcast - youtube uploads of some of the best podcast shows around, with Bill Burr being a favourite along with WTF and Nerdist. Joe Rogans stuff is pretty good too. Really if you love podcasts check out that channel.
Almost forget Redlettermedia. The ones who did the (

Yeah, started off like just them messing around, but they release something every day and there's always something to laugh at, so it's easy to get addicted. When I got really homesick & felt lost for a bit, they were like a comfortable regular thing I could watch. It and being overseas have also pretty much switched me from TV to YT. Can't even remember the last time I actually looked a TV set now.

Hannah (with the owls) is Lewis's girlfriend. She's fine for me, but has her own channel anyway, so it's not like you have to follow it. Or maybe you meant the other girl, Zoey, who's a bit batshit crazy with the talking mushroom civil war & baby volcano and all that, & that's the one I don't really follow, but the tumblr slashfic crowd eat it up so whatever, different strokes... MintyMinute is in some & kind of cute, and I think she's officially Sjin's gf now.
And they'll have little mock civil wars & vendettas and apparent hookups and BFF stuff you can catch across the different channels. Funny following the whole social angle of it. Offhand I can't think of another media thing quite like what they've got going.

Glad you like Classic Game Room. They have been around forever and have millions of episodes/reviews. I'll have a dig around my favorited channels on YouTube and post back here.

Yes, Lewis. I keep getting the names mixed up, and yes it is Hannah. Her playthrough of New Vegas was good, possibly because Simon and & Lewis were there commenting. IIRC, she recorded it and the three of them sat and voiced over it, whereas now she does it all live, like everyone else.
I tried watching some her Farcry 3 playthrough, just to see what all the fuss was about, and had to turn it off. She just wouldn't shut up with the silly pointless comments. I don't dislike her, I think she can do decent stuff, just maybe stop trying so hard? Sure, Simon gets on my tits occasionally with his inane ramblings, but most of the time he's gold.
Strange how I find myself being critical of it like its an actual show. Forging a new genre perhaps?
Also, I've wondered what they actually do that allows time to churn out so many videos. I think a couple, if not all of them, may be students. They also did a Kickstarter for a Minecraft rip-off, which means full time programming.

Search out: watch cartoons online. You will find a hub of, you guessed it, cartoons. I find they are pretty good when suffering from insomnia as I often do. I've been really digging the superhero shows that have been made since I was a kid.
