Pretty much what the title says. I don't want to keep plugging my 360 pad into my new Surface every time I play a game. I'm looking for something that's good, with a full spread of buttons, and preferably small, since I'll be slapping it in my bag for portable fun.
If you've got anything in mind, fire away!

Dualshock 4? Or if you really want something smaller maybe one of those MOGA POWER PRO thingies? Those mobile gamepads are usually quite pricy though, and unlikely to be as good as the DS4.
Never got around to replying to your post about the new Surface in the other thread, but I'm glad to hear it performs so well as a gaming machine. :)

It works surprisingly well as a gaming machine. You won't be playing anything on high at native resolution, but games like Diablo III was running great at medium 1280x800. Around 40 FPS, give or take. Intel must've made some HUGE strides with their integrated GPUs this generation.
I actually thought about getting a DS4, but the thing is, it doesn't work natively out of the box, is hard to set up, and from what I've heard, not all games that work with a 360 controller will work with it. Though if I'm wrong about this, I'll grab one without a second thought.
I'll check out the MOBA controller in the meantime. It looks like it might be pretty decent.

Actually, rather pleasantly, more games have recently started supporting the DS4 natively without the need to run InputMapper or similar.
Witcher 3 supports it natively, although the button prompts on screen are for a 360 controller.
And Original Sin EE supports the DS4 with proper button prompts too.
It's a lovely pad, with a nice size and triggers that are infinitely better than those on the DS3. I'd say it's the best pad I've used, although it's not without its problems.
Firstly, the touch pad is pretty bloody pointless, and secondly, the tiny Share and Options buttons aren't prominent enough and take a while to build up muscle memory for as you'll initially keep missing them. Other than that, I can highly recommend it.
Must say though, I'm intrigued by (

Hmm. HMMMM. I think I might give it a try. I guess if the worst is having to run a 3rd party program to get it to work with some games, I could deal with that.
I'll pick it up from some place that has a good return policy, just in case it doesn't work as well as I'd like.
