Rest assured that has everything to do with AIC and nothing to do with Opeth. :eww:
Forced to agree on this one. Just had a listen to it and its pretty much a by the books cover. Maybe its the shitty quality of the youtube version, but I hear very little to properly distinguish it from the AIC version. Its good, no question about that, but its good because Would? is already a kickass song.

no one should be allowed to use a barfing face when referring to opeth, unless you're trying to strip barfingface of all meaning

If it's more female vocals you're looking for, I'm going to just do what I always do and recommend
Fisher.
Their site's at (
www.fishertheband.com). Lots of songs to stream and also a few for free download - even some traditional-sounding christmas stuff up there at the moment.
Not necessarily to everyone's taste, but their stuff's pretty varied. In any case, nothing to lose by checking them out. Go on, you know you want to...

I may be well off the mark here, but Muse are great. Their most recent album Black Holes and Revelations is as good as any. The lead singer is male, but sounds female a lot of the time!
Apologies in advance if this is way too mainstream, I'm just not sure how big they are in the US, they're fairly huge in Europe anyway.

It seems muse is pretty popular on these boards in general (if I recall BHAR was on everyones top albums of the year for whatever year that came out).
He can hit some high notes, thats fore sure, but I still like it (in doses).

Yeah Muse have some great tracks but they only seem to be able to make EPIC songs the whole time, a few tracks nonwithstanding. They are fun to listen to but it is a bit tiring after a while I reckon

Well, Godbluff by Van Der Graaf Generator is an excellent album. Solid, excellent composition (it's VdGG) and very balanced in structure.
