Which of these two graphical upgrades is better?
Etienne Aubert's Rebirth Mod or SHTUP (Shock Texture Upgrade Project)?
Thanks!

They're for different things and can be used at the same time. Rebirth is updated models and textures for creatures/enemies, whereas SHTUP is doing graphic updates for object textures.

Okay, that's good to know.
Thanks for your help mate!

Though I should point out that some people don't like Rebirth because the models aren't as scary as the original ones. But everyone seems to love SHTUP, for obvious reasons. ;)

excuse the redundancy...i'm pretty sure i know the answer to this already but does the psi reaver require "rigging" in the sense that all the other AIs with joints do? Cuz if not I might attempt modelling a new one. Its one of the models i personally was looking for in rebirth...and the assassin needs to be redone for sure.

Yes, Psi Reavers are fully jointed AIs. They have motions for their tentacles.

Oh....shit

Personally I'm a very big fan of SHTUP. I think it does a great job of updating the look of SS2, while still holding true to the original look and feel. Rebirth is interesting, but I thought the new models clashed too much with the rest of the game, so it was more a one-time thing just to see what it was like. However, I always have SHTUP installed.

On the assassins, you'll notice blades on their hands, this doesn't fit because when you get close to them, they back away. The new model (with the blades) would fit more if they attacked you with the blades if you get too close.

Seconded.
I think the SS2 cyborg assassin should have subtypes armed differently. More high-tech stuff, you know.
EMP attacks and ambient encounters with it could drain your psi.
