Hello everyone :thumb:
I'm playing System Shock 2 for the first time with the Rebirth Mod and SHTUP installed (yeah, I know, I should have played the first time through with no Mods, but hey I wanted to have up-to-date graphics). I noticed that the Hybrids are faster in the original version than with the Rebirth Mod installed. And with faster I mean their running speed and movements, even death animations. Am I right, or is it some kind of illusion due to the new models? Could someone please help me out?
Thanks.
BTW, I'm loving this game. It looks like Deus-EX had already a very strong competitor before it came out.
P.S: Nice forums you guys have going here.

The only changes Rebirth makes are cosmetic. The difference might be due to your processor speed, because the updated models take more resources than the originals. Or, like you said, it might be your imagination. Welcome to the forums!

Aren't the Rebirth hybrids noticably smaller than the original models? That could cause the illusion of slower movement, although I didn't see any speed difference myself.

Yeah, I didn't think of that. But you must be right. The new models require a bit more resources. Thanks for the answer Enchantermon.
You know, I wanted to be sure so I quicksaved the game when a Hybrid has spotted me from a distance and is starting to run at me and timed how long he would take to come at me. The non-modded hybrid was about a whole second faster.

Now try it with some kind of ingame time measurement. ;)
I'm not sure where you'd find one, but I'm pretty sure the ingame clock would say they both made it to you in the same time.
