I read the first topic in the archieves for this forum. I was a little confused. It said that SHODAN had used Rebecca's body for her physical sense. While this makes pleanty of sense, I thought that Rebecca and Tommy escaped off the pod in the Rickenbocker. Did only Tomy escape or what?

Did you see the final cutscene? Your answer can be found by watching it.

ohh snaps. I only have the under-dog's expired liscence version... no cut scenes. I bought the CD some time in the 99, but no longer have it. I thought I remembered running a cut scene off the CD at the time (I never actually beat the game when I had a legit copy), and SHODAN saying some thing, and the player replying with "I dont think so" (Or along those lines)and shooting her in the head...
I thought i'd figured the game all out... can you tell me what happens? :erm:
Oh yeah... is the player responsible for Diego's death from the grav switch? I thought so, but wasn't sure... how unnerving...

Kid, this is what we call a head start. Its so you have a chance of getting away from TTLG before the usual lynch-mob forms up to make sure you NEVER use a version of the game that can be aquired in any way but paying more then the original retail price for a 7 or so year old game.
So.. Care to start running?

i said I already bought the game. what does it matter if I download a LEGAL copy of the game after mine went missing? I already paid for it. Besides, thats not the topic, I just want to know what I missed.
I dont understand how rebecca could have been on the escape pod, yet shodan still managed to capture her.

The thing about people is that they tend to be quite willing to believe a confession to doing something wrong but far less likely to believe you when you say you did something righteous. I figure if you bought the game at some point then who cares but you shot yourself in the foot the minute you mentioned the warez copy.

Yup, buy the game again and watch the cutscene at the end.
Try to keep your copies of games safer in the future, would be my suggestion. It sucks when you lose the disc of an old game like this.

Psst.. They're already lighting torches. Now would be a good time to start the car.
Really though, I dont give half a damn if you bought the game or not. I had to jump through hoops to even find a copy of the game that was for anything under $40 USD, and i'm quite sure that I wouldnt have done that if I knew there was a free copy. Some people had the good fortune of grabbing a copy while it was still in stores, or before it became a damn collectors item.. I'm not among them, and I dont see why people need to get uppity over this. So fucking what if people arent willing to pay bust their ass to find a hit or miss game for a resonable price or get gouged over Ebay? If EA really did care about this, they would've told the UberKitties to take it down, which they havent.
But, alas.. You'll find no help here. (Easier to accuse then understand, as i've heard it put.)

Interesting story. I had borrowed my friends copy of SS2 when I couldnt find mine. I installed it but couldnt get it to run on xp. I then installed the free download version, and It works like a charm, except the loading time is faster as it doesnt run off the CD.
The only problem was the ending clip, which it appears, some people with the cd version experiance too.
