Margorach, Please do! This is beginning to sound like Bart Simpson w/M80's but those loaded X-Bows, if they could be activated, might have some interesting sounds associated w/their release & it would be interesting to see where the bolts strike.

Hang in there jstnomega, I havent had the chance to sit down with MW yet (I'm typing this at work), but from memory it's in one of the ancestral tombs - Alarus I think. Not sure where exactly, but it's somewhere in the ashlands - but I'll have a look at my map when I get home.
Really the Dwemer Bows aint that special. Sure they do a lot of damage, but you can only swivel them and aim up and down. Now if you could take them with you that would be something :ebil:

Darn, just went to get the Precursor Gauntlet with a new character, but it's pretty deep in the Alarus tomb (there are these pesky Guar in there too, giving me trouble with their poison spits). I forgot that the door to the dwemer ruins from the tomb is actually locked (lock strength 100). I had a scroll that could open 100, but it diddnt seem to work on the door. Looks like I'll have to go to the Constantine Plantation to get the blue key... which will take some time... :erg:

Margorach this must be a plugin thing you are talking about because there is no Precursor Gauntlet, Alarus Tomb or Constantine Plantation in the game. Much less the ability to fire the balistas

Nazz - there is no Precursor thingies or ballista-firing doo-dads. It's a big joke. It's kind of an offshoot of the "famous" (if you spend way too much of your life at TTLG) (

Thief. Note - the Bow Upgrade doesn't really exist either. It's one of those incredibly average jokes that only gets "funny" when it becomes a running gag that elders can use to torment newbies whose only crime is that they just got here.
So, don't knock yourself out looking for these. They're just having a little fun with ya.

Zap did you read my post I know that none of that stuff is in the game. But it would be, well I guess now that I think about it more it wouldnt be, possible to make a mod adding this stuff. I was simply saying they didn't exist because it seemed some people believed him.
