d0om on 7/3/2006 at 21:29 (http://www.siteadvisor.com/preview/) is a seemingly usefull firefox / IE extension which gives you ratings on how many e-mails a month a website sends to addresses which sign up, as well as if the downloads it offers contain spyware. Its all done by an automatic crawling bot and seems to work nicely :) I read about it here (http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn8809) .
