Ok, I was a diehard Morrowind fan, and am eager to play Oblivion. However, I have 2 new games I haven't even started, and little time, and so it will be a while before I get around to playing it. But I'm a sucker for Collector's Editions; I loved the Morrowind one, with the awesome artbook, figurine, and soundtrack. The Oblivion one doesn't seem QUITE as cool, but still very neat; I find the DVD midly attractive and the coin could be cool, but I'm mainly attracted to the Pocket Guide to the Empire; I love me my game fiction. The question is: how many of these did they make? Will I be able to get one easilly within a couple of months, or will the price be jacked up to 2.5 times its MSRP (ala Subsistence Limited Edition)? Do I need to go and get one RIGHT NOW, or can I wait?

I'd recommend buying it now. There's no reason not to. The Collector's Edition isn't likely to come down in price because it probably won't be available at the time they cut game prices down from $50. As it is, Oblivion will probably stay at $50 for atleast the next six months, I imagine. Probably more.

If you want the CE, buy it now. Its availability in a few months is not terribly promising.

Take the above as good advice: if you want a CE, get it while you can. They seem to have put out a pretty big pile of them this time, but the fanboys are legion.

Sirs yes sirs!
But when I fail school because Oblivion is too addictive, just remember that it's your fault:p
Edit: Any advice on where to purchase it? I know the local Fry's had Oblivion for $38 for the normal addition, but dunno about Collector's, and it's probably not worth the half-hour drive just for that.
