Okay. I want to enchant my ranged crossbow. I have a 100 soul purple gem. I tried setting it to "when strikes", "target" and then 10 frost damage. After like 10 tries, it worked. I can now shoot ghosts and stuff, but I haven't seen any indication that frost damage is doing anything. No little blue swirl, no cliff racers dropping dead in less time. Yet Dahrk Mezcalf or whatever got raped by it. Sooooo, if anybody can explain to me how this whole process works with ranged weapons, i'd appreciate it. And I already know that i unfortunately can't enchant arrows or bolts. Though i can buy em.

Yeah, you probably want to do this... along with 1000s of other people. There is no way.
