So okay I found the father and showed him the amulet. He bade me to find his daughter to tell her to come to him. I went back to find her but she did not even acknowledge that i found her father. Well after all the long walks i did - that sucks!

Actually, you should visit ebonheart, grand council chambers and talk to her grandfather... he'll give you an ebony helmet and a small boost in disp with house redoran... you can talk to sarethi in ald-ruhn and recieve another + in disp... you don't have to be a member of house redoran.
