I have a vine in the courtyard it gives seedless grapes.
The only problem I'm not a fruit fan, I eat very little fruit.
Sometimes I pick it up and give it to a friend.

When websites ask you to prove you're a human, imagine if they asked for webcam access and then made you go through the Voight-Kampff test.
I can imagine it. Today's CAPTCHA relies on visual pattern matching, which machine learning methods excel at. Soon it won't be effective. We'll invent something else, and it will work temporarily, until somebody teaches the machines how to do that too. I expect the sites who care who you are will start requiring multi-factor authentication. The rest, like TTLG, will just accept that we may have machine users here and not know it.

Well I won't be teaching any machines, that you can be sure of.

In the near future, we'll have bots joining the forum, and we'll only suspect they're AI's by their unusually brilliant knowledge of gaming and the history of these forums.
Before long, these bots will be API-integrated into Dromed, and will be posting AI-created fan missions.
Think that sounds crazy? Just wait and see

Tocky, about 40 years ago my late father planted 2 grape wines along a front walkway of the family home. When my parents got older, they didn't water the grapes as much as they needed and they seemed to completely die off. Just two 1 foot stumps were left and looked dry as a bone. He finally realized he needed to hire a gardener to come and take care of the yard. One year later a full crop of grapes came from those vines. Grapes may be just as hearty as English Ivy. :cheeky: Glad you found yours grew through the thickets.

What's it with TTLG human / bot test, are we having AI infighting now?

That doesn't sound crazy to me. But it sounds like it would take a lot of electricity.
We're currently experimenting to see what AI can do without consideration of efficiency. But in the next phase when companies start asking us to pay for their AI dope, we'll have some interesting value judgments to make. At least I hope we will. It's also possible we'll break through the limits of photolithography and Moore's Law will kick in again, making AI cheap. If that happens, AIs will be everywhere, not just running in data centers. That could go sci-fi horror pretty easily.

Slowly oozes into the thread and disguises himself as a glitch in the forums, waiting for any unwary trespasser to come close to him and be devoured.
