To sum up a bit what I've told about raising stats, I've regrouped the content of my posts here ( updated a bit ;) ) .
-----------------------------
With some time you can reach something like 1000000 ( and more ) with any stat ( Intelligence, Luck, Strength,...), thanks to potions!
This is due to the fact that the effectiveness of potion is linked to your intelligence.
So, if you make a potion to make you cleverer, and that you make again such a potion...that's it, you'll be incredibly intelligent ( besides, the duration of the effect increases with intelligence too...thus, currently,I've a HUGE stock of Fortify Intelligence potion that give me a 70000 Int. bonus for 200000 secondes ( or something like that ) )
Moreover, the effect of the potion stacks, so that if you drink 2 potions, you'll get twice the effect !! ...so I've reached more than 1.000.000 Intelligence.... :thumb:
And with so much Int., you can make all the Fortify *place here your favorite attribute* potion you need ;o)
For the details :
-The simpliest way ( for me ) to have ingredients to make the intelligence potion is to go to Wolverine Hall ( to the Impreial Shrine ), and to get there "Ash Yam", "Bloat" and "Netcher Leather".Speak to the trader many times since he will always have a new stock of these
-With two of those ingredients, you should be able to make an "Fortify Intelligence Potion"
!!!!!
Of course, you migth not be gifted enougth in alchemy and/or intelligence to manage to do the first potion to start the process. In that case ( and in fact in all the case since it will improve your first potion and so speed up the whole thing ;) ) , you can go to a spellmaker to devellop a spell improving your Int for a few secondes ( you can ask him to improve several times your int - for instance making a 100+100+100 Int bonus for 5 sec. ).It requires that you already have bougth a Fortity Attribute spell ( ANY ONE, strength, agility, ... there is some at this Imperial Shrine I think , so ;) ) to allow you to ask this effect.
You can also make enchanted items improving your Int for 2 or 5 sec ( here again you can stack the effect with different item...you can even make one improving several times Int ( 100+100...) )...In fact, since enchanting item involves intelligence, it will be more and more easy to make new item once you'll already have some.
For spell and enchant, you migth also want some luck potion ( and enchatment/spell for the beginning) to make the things easier. At the same shop I told you earlier in wolverine Hall, you will find the ingredients needed ( you will have to buy one ingredient at each of the two seller there, but ther's only 3 or 4 feets between them so ... ;) )
An advice : try to amways have the best tools to make those potions, they 'll be better ( the best suits is in Valenvarion, east of Khuul ( far, after the ashlander camp ).Abelle Chriditte will sell it to you there....but beware to the orcs before her door ! ). But you migth say that you havn't got enougth money for that. Well, you can start with lesser one.But also....
....those potions you will soon be able to make are INCREDIBLY expensive, even thougth it cost you almost nothing to make them .... So it is also a good way to make easy money, if you find a trader with enougth money ( the Creeper in Caldera as 5000 GO and the Drinken MurdCrab as 10000 GO(east of Vivec, on a small island off the east side of the Mzahnch Ruin ( thX to (
http://home.austin.rr.com/shakti/morrowind/index.html) Skati site ))...and they both buy potions ! )
Just one detail to think about : their price should keep increasing with your intelligence...normally, but at some point, the game cannot handle the amount (I think) and price are far lower than what they should be ( practically, when my int was 100.000, my potion were sold for 34000, and now that I'm 1.500.000, they cost only 10.000 ) . But in fact it is somehow an useful bug since no trader were able to afford to buy my potions ( and it is TOO borying to lower the preice for hours ;p )
BTW, the more intelligent you are, the best the potion is...usually. Try levitate : if you keep you're Int to something like 10000 or 30000 , you get a 600 magnitude levitate for almost half an hour, which is GREAT ( very fast and useful )... So, happy with result, you make another levitate potion while having 210000 Int. And of course you get a wonderful ( looking ) levitate potion : 3000+ Magnitude for 3+ hours...Great...?... No, because at this speed, you cross a zone ( and thus have to reload another one ) after just 2 or 3 move ABSOLUTELY awful ( try to reach a door LOL ) . You could think that it is useful to cross vast area where you don't care about the content : yes, but when you've arrived, what do you do , because I've still not found a way to stop this levitation ( except waiting for 3+ hours....;p ) And you can't even sleep to wait since you're not on the ground ( and it is hard to find and reach a bed at this speed ) .
So when you make your Levitate potions stock, do it first, before raising your Intelligence too much...and then go on, raise the Int. to the high score to have your fortify/restore/... marvels
Besides,I've found another funny side effect of having too higth stat, concerning Strength :
While travelling, I was a bit bored so I decided to try and use some weapon for a change ( I'm a mage ... ;p )
And at the first strike, the enemy was dead, of course with 158038 in strength , but the game set my fist as my weapon...? So I tried another weapon, and again , after the first slaugther, no weapon ???
In fact, my THIS strength, you use your weapon incredibly quickly : I've found no weapon able to endure more than one touch !!!!
But well I'll keep this strength : first I don't need weapon, and then it is pretty nice to be able to transport any single thing I find ( a bit hard to find something in my inventory anyway ).
Well I hope this whole thing helped, and here two pictures:
One showing those lovely int Potion ( and my stat ( but now they have increased ) ):

The other, showing a nice spell you can play when you've got a VERY HIGTH luck stat:

Planning to do a better one soon - easy with the spellmaker in the Wolverine Hall(Imperial shrine) since I can always recove the huge amount of money I spent to make those spell since he also buys potions $ $ $ !!
If you need any more detail, I'm at your service ;p
