Stronts is being pretty harsh on the Times, it's a credible and respectable paper same as the other "broadsheets" (or whatever we call them in these days).
I'm inclined to think most of this is Paz' third example. Like pics of pigs briefly being banned at some council in Dudley. I do fear some amount of stupid is allowed to slip past because of hysterical over-reactions damaging the case of opposition to the stupid. But, well, I can still dress as piglet and celebrate easter if I want to, so not quite DANGER ALERT yet.

Haha. No. It used to be credible and respectable; now it's just a version of The Sun for grown-ups.

The last time I read it (around the end of last year--it was a Saturday edition), it was just deathly dull.

Oh well, his brief burst of actually being reasonable seems over.

In his defense, isn't the Times the same paper that had a reporter confess to fabricating stories a few years ago? Yeah, it was only one guy and so on, but fool me once, shame on me...

That's not the whole story now, is it?
Dudeski, if you just said "the times has a bit of a conservative bias sometimes, so I don't like reading it" that would be fine. The reason I don't read the Grauniad much is pretty much that reversed.
However, going on about it being full of lies and "the sun for growups" and yes, you're back to the silly ranting stronts we all know and love.
[edit]fett wedged in between there like a man sandwich. JUST HOW HE LIKES IT.

Local Councils are probably a prime breeding ground for such silliness. But, seriously, it's not worth wailing and gnashing teeth over just yet.
