Sounds like a good game for me to try at the moment. I'm curious how much you get from xbox game pass as players aren't directly buying the game - not asking for numbers just how significant it is for a small developer.

Yeah, our organic sales are pretty low for the console. As faetal pointed out, bulk of our Xbox players are from GP, which is exactly what I expected going into it. I can't discuss the details of the deal (NDAs and whatnot), but all I can say is that I am pretty happy with it and think it was a good call for us.
I dont have a link handy, but there was an article a while back about GP and how different devs get different deals (some are flat fee, some are performance base, etc.) So I guess it depends a lot on the game and the model, but from what I hear most devs have been happy with it.

Interesting - I had a feeling you might be limited in what you can say, but the main point is that you found it positive. I was concerned it may be going the way of Spotify where artists barely make anything. I remember Tim Schafer saying in an interview that he was happy with it from Double Fine's perspective, but they are much larger.

I bought it cos Yakoob recommended it in the chill out games thread... who says self promotion doesn't work? :laff:
And it's great fun, super chill gameplay loop, and it keeps making me laugh. I especially like the little touches like being able to draw your own face for the cloud.
The wife's gonna love it as well. My only pie-in-the-sky wish for a future DLC or sequel would be a local coop mode.

Coop is something I was thinking of a lot during production that I just didn't have time for. I considered it later too but, tbh, reading how other games doing local co-op have performed kind of turned me away from the idea :/ Plus it would require a bit more work than just plopping another cloud (bunch of levels and systems would need to be re-designed a bunch).
Ultimately from what I learned is that, unless you also do networked multiplayer, adding co-op won't do very well. And networked stuff is a whole other mess I'd rather not deal with ><

Yeah, it would be a lot of work even if planned from the start. Can't imagine the work needed to retroactively network a single player game.
