http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k8/TafferBoyElvis/rainbubble.jpgA sunny day in the hot summer
A little boy playing in the front yard notices the wind
The storm clouds block the sun
He runs to the safety of the front porch
The rain pours down hard on the streets
The boy notices that rain drops make bubbles in the puddles
If only for a moment, those bubbles travel down the street
They burst quite quickly to the adult eye, but last so long for a boy
The puddles and gutter stream grow in size
Bubbles form in the driveway and front yard
How magical this storm has become
He runs out into the yard, and pokes at the bubbles with a stick
A child never thinks about why he shouldn't get wet, so he plays on
Mom yells out to say get out of the rain
But she doesn't understand the magical bubbles floating away
The storm passes, and the fun does too
Now I'm grown and can't play in the rain
How I wish those magical bubbles would return
Every now and then, when the sky turns dark
I look to the puddles and see the magic in those bubbles
See, the magic isn't in the bubbles, but in the eye of the beholder
