No, I'm not a member of SA, it's far too large, impersonal and intimidating a community to try to become a part of. All I know of Lowtax is his general demeanour on his front page articles and so on, I'm not saying the guy is scum or anything like it - but he definitely plays the asshole card to its fullest. So perhaps I do see a little bit of rich irony here considering as he has no qualms about shitting all over people, their beliefs, their creative output and so on - okay, that is different from a physical pounding but that only makes you a different kind of asshole.
And I didn't mean that Dr Boll is slime, just that a man who consistently directs crappy films, gets murdered by the critics and then invites them into a boxing ring is certainly not a "straight up" kinda guy, and I sure as hell wouldn't trust him or the set-up anymore if it came from the mouth of a PR spokesperson.

Stitch, this isn't a right/wrong issue - especially since I'm not arguing what you think I'm arguing. I'm not on StD's side of this debate, I don't think Boll did anyone a service, or that he was in the "right" of this situation.
Let's look at the facts:
- Boll makes a whole heapload of shitty movies and is unapologetic about how bad they are
- Lowtax (presumably) rips the shit out of them and (presumably) Boll in the process of doing his usual asshole trolls on SA (I'm not saying they aren't funny, but damn, they can be very offensive if you were the subject of them)
- Boll then invites his harshest critics into a boxing ring under the guise of a PR stunt
- Boll is a former boxer
- Lowtax had completed no training and probably saw the footage of the first fight where Boll landed a few blows to the Cuban reviewer from latinoreview or wherever, where it became obvious that he was ACTUALLY going to box them when they got into the ring
- Lowtax steps in ring
- Bolls knocks him about
- Lowtax throws in the towel
Now here's where it gets sticky - saying who's the asshole. Boll is definitely the asshole here, but that certainly doesn't make Lowtax any less dumber for getting into the fucking ring with a trained boxer he had probably personally insulted. I agree that Boll is childish and immature but he's given us no reason to suggest he was anything other than this so far. Even a BOXING PR STUNT is fucking lame and reeks of playground bullying.
I'm just saying that I found Lowtax's whining afterwards to be ironic given that he's such an abrasive cunt in general and has no finer feelings towards anyone else.

Look, if you're getting a shot at Boll, you should train like a motherfucker and be prepared to beat him to death, its your duty to the world.
Its not only that you thought it was a PR stunt, you should not only know better but take the opportunity to let Boll have it, unless he happened to be a really good fighter or somthing.
At least put up a fight, boxing with gloves it isnt exactly hard to block.

Uwe Boll deserved to vent his anger at himself in such a physical manner for making shitty movies.
Lowtax deserved to be punched in the face. Now I'd be even happier if the whole SA community followed.
