San Frisco was cheeky and stupid and hilarious and had a great soundtrack with an interesting set of gameplay mechanics, which is pretty much everything a person who dislikes games about driving needs a driving game to be.
This is 100% correct.
Apart from your spelling of 'San Francisco', that's just appalling.

I thought Rage 1 was okay, but I pretty soon forgot about it because of Borderlands. If Borderlands 3 will be released in similar time window, I'll be laughing more than anyone in that awful trailer.

Actually, come to think of it, the only thing I don't really like about the driving in Wildlands is how floaty it can be when off-roading, and how twitchy the motorbikes are. It's actually quite nice when drifting around corners. Not a simulation by any means, but arcadey enough to be fun.
AAAAANYWAY, 'nuff bout that.
I enjoyed RAGE well enough, even though it was a little confused about its identity and the shooty dungeon maps had a few too many obstacles that couldn't be jumped over. And of course, that abrupt ending.
It had that good, solid id feel to it, and stunningly good character animation. It'll be interesting to see where id go with a sequel.

Even though that teaser was god-awful, I can't wait to see what they're doing with it too. I loved the first game more than most because I missed the hype and picked it up for next to nothing (and didn't reach the ending either, so had no chance to be disappointed). Here's hoping that the problems will be addressed.

I made it 24 seconds through the trailer! I feel that was a pretty good effort. Did anyone get further?

Man, you 'Friscans a touchy bunch.
Here's the gameplay trailer:

Which features more cuts and jumping around than a Michael Bay movie, so it
feels pretty high-octane and chaotic watching it, kinda like a Mad Max^3. Still not enough info to assess if this is going to be as fun/interesting as I hoped the first Rage would be, so we'll see. 2019's a bit of a ways away.

Hrm. Interesting that Avalanche are getting top billing, not id.

More than a little DOOM 2016 in there, which is great. Hope they extend that to the cars too somehow.

Oh yes. Double jumps, mega jumps, ground pounds. And is that some kinda telekinetic blast at 0:59? Anyway, it looks like a good time! :)

Basically Crysis 2/3 nanosuit abilities and Destiny supers. Looking great, definitely one for the Steam wishlist!
