Also did Stitch just imply there was anything at all wrong with The Bends just now? cause if he did he's gone plum loco.
The Bends is a great straightforward 90's alt-rock album; every song hits its target beautifully. It's just that each subsequent Radiohead album raises its sights considerably higher.

That ain't no problem with The Bends nigga it's a great album regardless of what came after it.
I'd recommend any prospective Radiohead listener to skip PH until the end. It's an outright stinker of an album and deserves none of your time except to see where they've come from.
Start with The Bends because it's great right out of the gate, then go chronologically forward.
Oh, and In Rainbows finally "hit" me the other night. It takes me forever to really understand a Radiohead album so I usually keep listening to them until they make a lasting impression, but so far, outlook good.
oh and Backdrifts love kru

Seriously, you can't tell me you don't want to sock the fucker.
And here I was thinking it wasn't personal? I was surprised to see this...you usually don't go that far.
But you can hate Aerothorn, who gives a shit? Your loss :)

I'm loving In Rainbows. Had to grow on me, but it did so quickly. Reckoner, Weird Fishes, All I need, and Videotape are my favorites, certainly.
Sorry if this has been said before but does anyone think the percussion in Videotape sounds like traintracks? Sorta makes me think of the passage of time: apt for the song. Don't mean to get all emo metaphoric though, just a casual observance.
Oh yeah and let me add I too love Backdrifts. Especially stoned.

but then I'm super-picky with music
Just kidding mang we still dippin. Your comment was pretty lame (Fingernailed it lol) but rest that pretty much everything I wrote was intentionally blown out of proportion for comedic effect.
you know how I do

Please someone convince me to give this album a chance. I've long been perplexed by Radiohead's ability to stun fans while simultaneously leaving me feeling like I've just sat through an excruciating tape made by a sleep-deprived adolescent in his basement on a four track.
A four track with awesome production values, don't get me wrong. But there's evidently something I'm not getting about Radiohead... too many people think the band is excellent for me to just write them off, but -- despite every human effort made by my brother -- I just don't see it. To me it's mostly just a kind of smug noodling with generous dollops of pretension and art-school wank.
Tell me a song to start with, what if this album changes my mind?

There's subtle but significant shift to Radiohead's tone on
In Rainbows. It's hard to describe -- if their previous albums seemed sleep-deprived, it's as though they finally got a solid eight hours here. I know it sounds totally lame, but
In Rainbows gives me this wonderful feeling that I've never felt from hearing Radiohead before. It's less congested and less menacing, more free and open sounding, with a warmness and clarity that really embrace the listener, as opposed to their old stuff, which made a real effort to alienate itself.
I don't know, you still might not like it; the difference might not be apparent to non-fans. But man, you might as well give it a chance, you have nothing to lose, anyway.

Yeah, I love the way it shuffles, and is that a tennis ball they're bouncing near the end?

It won't. You apparently do not like Radiohead.
These things happen.
