2007 is really shaping up to be an excellent year for new music (yeah, I'm assuming In Rainbows is going to be great).

The do-it-yourself price is kind of interesting. I wonder how well that'll work for them.

Yeah, exactly. Too expensive to justify it. Shame you can't get artwork with the download. Interesting experiment, that. I wonder if they'll release figures on how many people pay and how much.

considering what else you might buy for 40 quid - a computer game, for instance - I'd say it's pretty worth it, considering it is pretty cool and there are more songs on another cd. I'd only do it for radiohead though. The album's probably crap.

hey if you want to convince yourself it's worth 40 quid then it's fine by me :)

Or all six of Radiohead's CDs released the traditional way.
Frankly, the price is ludicrous. $82 USD buys me two CDs, one of which is a B-side disc, with two accompanying vinyl records as ballast? The new Spoon album gave me all of the above, minus the vinyl, for twelve bucks.
I'll download this one for free and pick it up on CD once it's available for a reasonable price.

i paid the 40 pounds because i'm a whore and the swirly colours on the website made me more suggestible
