With all the people around here that head out into the woods, NOT a mile or more away from the residential areas, I just hope my cellphone saves my life when that stray bullet finally homes in on me!

When I lived with them we were snowed in for about two weeks one time and couldn't get off the property.
...
(no electricity=no refridgeration. Food doesn't keep for two weeks).

Hunting licenses are not incompatible with a gun ban. Just saying.
Come on people, it's clear that we're not talking about taking away Joe Cougar-Killer's only instrument of survival here.
The longer this discussion goes on the more obvious it becomes that it's no reasonable argument but gun culture we're discussing.
Oh and thanks to the mod who removed my tag:
LARGE GUN = SMALL PENIS
Usually we don't have much of a problem with talking about cocks here, do we? So why so sensible all of a sudden?

Pig, you're a city slicker. It's easy for people who have never lived in the country to assume things about rural life that aren't true.
Just like it is easy for people who dont really know someone to assume things that arent true . I grew up on farms owned by my family, I have seen guns used on said farms, seen animals slaughtered, milked cows, picked orchards of fruit etc etc and not even at my in-laws, my family owned and worked about 4 farms, livestock and orchard . Yeh sure most of the farmers owned some kind of rifle.
Anyway, I know lots about rural life, except we dont have mountain lions.

I see I'm not the only one who had a tag removed. I guess that makes me feel better.

I think I said this in the last gun thread. The gun restrictions in the UK let you have rifles and shotguns if you need/really want them. And that's taking into account that the largest predators we have are fucking badgers

Ah! You just kind of seemed like you were skeptical that people needed to fend off wildlife in RL.
PigLick on 23/2/2009 at 02:53
I'm skeptical that the majority of gun owners will ever meet a mountain lion.

Rabid bats are more likely. IMHO.
