Radiant A.I. ? - by Aerothorn

I remember one thing that happened to me: I was a member of the thieves guild, I ran around Bruma stealing almost everything in every house and then dropping them to one room in Olav's Inn. Then one night when I came back to check what do I have there, I saw some wood elf sneaking towards the room. I said to myself: "NO! My stuff!" He tried to take my stuff in "my" room and I couldn't let him do it so I was forced to kill him. Then the guards arrested me, and I payed the fine to get out. Then I came back, and I saw my thieves guild fence sneaking towards my room! (greedy bastard, guess he didn't want to wait until I sell all the stolen stuff to him) So what did I do? I couldn't have killed him because he was my only fence and I wanted to stay in thieves guild. So I tried to block him by standing in his way and tried to talk to him so he would stop. Then finally he stopped, and I sold all the stuff to him. :cheeky:
Oh, and the body of that wood elf is still there... it has been there for almost 80 game days now. :sly:

I must be the only one who's finding that the RadiantAI system does exactly as advertised.

You're one of the seemingly few who had a realistic idea of what to expect.

Hear no evil, see no evil!
I was hoping the NPCs would go on their daily lives as well as Ultima VII. Made in the 90s or something.
In there the blacksmith would get up, eat, go to work, actually make stuff(get iron, heat it up, hammer it, cool it down, heat it up, repeat ad nausiem), until it was time to go to the bar, then they'd go home and sleep. That's the lowest NPC basically. They often had special routines.
In Oblivion, the NPC will get up, go to work, stand there for 13 hours, then go home and go to bed.

Is it possible to build a mod which makes the ai actually do stuff (such as what you suggested)?

Probably not, since you'd need new animations. If someone had to the tools and the time, maybe. You do get peasants who use farming tools and allegedly brooms, though I haven't seen that one.

Some NPCs in Skingard use the tools for their wine process. But it's not as deep as U7.

Why did the dog eat her meat in the video? Do they only eat meat from owners? Do owners even feed their dogs in the game? Do they really read books (I've never seen it)?

I've seen dogs eat meat, people read books. The peasents do quite a lot around the cities; such as working in their gardens, steal from people and a whole lot more.
Maybe my Oblivion is broke?
