Yeah, screw any German anti-fascists! It don't fly Hanse, mein Got! What the shit kind of nonsense logic is this?
aren't you south african? you're all scum
seriously though are you dumb? the american media has seized on two or three 'racist' incidents down here and the amount of hypocrisy slathered on is outrageous.

Come on Shug, my unholy mancrush on you doesn't excuse your line of reasoning. Just because the American nation has, historically, been terribly racist its still perfectly valid for Americans to condemn something that is racist.
Don't get me wrong - I don't think this particular ad was racist, because, as we've been saying; its all in the context.

the american media now includes sarah palin as an official commentor so i wouldn't worry too much about them

i hardly think fox news counts as "american media" in the more generic sense

it's fine for people to condemn racism, I'm talking about the response to this ad and the jackson five skit. the response was specifically HEY LOOK AUSTRALIA IS RACIST which is hypocrisy of the highest order the way it was presented.

ohhh dear.
edit: to follow the ridiculous nazi sidetracking, it's not the equivalent of german citizens condemning fascism elsewhere in the world. it's the equivalent of the german media saying HEY LOOK AUSTRALIA KILLS JEWS, WE'RE A BETTER COUNTRY

Well to be fair simply saying that Australia is racist is fair enough, because I'd challenge you to show me a nation that isn't racist on some level, so you'd end up with a whole lot of people saying nothing. But to claim moral high ground of course is completely ridiculous in these kinds of cases.
The other big issue that occurs with these situations in Australia is we get super defensive about racism over here, so whenever someone steps in and commentates (including the UNHRC in regards to the Northern Territory intervention) we tend to vastly overreact in defense and end up saying really dumb shit in the process.
