There is a well documented pattern of less Americans voting in every subsequent presidential election.
Have you been following the primaries

Well, Ron Paul is an utter joke. Kucinich is far too left to ever stand a chance, although he performs the valuable service of putting uncomfortable but vital issues on the table. This man sticks to his guns and refuses to play the political game, and for that he should be praised.
The media's desires have nothing to do with my perception of either, especially given the puzzling level of Ron Paul lust rampant earlier in the campaign.

That perception depends more on the method of the study than actual (
http://elections.gmu.edu/Voter_Turnout_2008_Primaries.htm) population based statistics. To be fair there is a spike right now regardless, but we've had 30-odd years of decline before this primary.

Hard to imagine, with such cheerful characters as yourself spreading the good word!

at all?Record numbers, as far as I know. Anyway, I don't think we're ready for Obama, not because he's black, but because the country is in some deep shit, and we need someone who can get us out of it. The funny thing is, all one has to do to win this election is come out and say that he/she would chase all illegal immigrants out of the country. I guarantee that you'll see a sea of red at the polling places, then.
(edit) I'm not sure if that reads as I intended. What I mean is that Obama seems to be perceived as a noob. I'm not saying that he's incapable of setting this country on the right track, but rather he needs to overcome the perception of him as such.

Obama, on the other hand, is unlikely to get the latino vote... Which could cost him California on the presidential elections. And if he loses California, he's done.
Which is why I expect him, should he scoop the nomination, to line up Governor Richardson as his running mate :thumb:
