It's obvious at this point that the inbreeding has gotten completely out of control. I'm going to start killing every third male. Be right back.
Not only inbreeding, but xenophobic, jingoistic inbreeding.

Yeah, I cant really argue with any of that. Regardless, the cynical half of me somewhat rejects this 'leadership' thing, I'll admit he's a fantastic speaker but that that just doesnt quite translate to real world leadership skills. Thats not to say I dont believe he is, tbh if he gets in I wont really be any less glad than hillary, I just dont go in for the obama-fever. I wish I could.
To me on topics like universal healthcare, I just imagine Hillary as being able to get it the fuck done. She (and Bill) got totally buttfucked by this the last time around but they know the ropes, then again Obama has former Clinton advisors as well, so who knows. If he wins he'd better be able to win again because America really needs some fucking progress.

On this point, I've been heading up a rather comprehensive and business critical project in my role over the past three months and I will say that it does translate. Let me explain why. The most important achievement in getting anything off the ground is engagement, once people are engaged you can move mountains, you can restructure and change the world from the ground up if need be - as long as people understand why you want to do it, how you're going to do it, how they're going to be involved and why they should care.
Engagement is so critical because without it, it doesn't matter if something needs to be done, if the people don't care about doing it or see the benefits of it, it simply won't happen - or at least, it won't happen as efficiently and effectively as it could have.
I've spent the last three months talking to people, getting them to talk, listening to what they have to say, telling them why we need to make this project happen and what I need from them to make it work. It's been clear from the outset that I'm going to require hard work and thought from them at some stage down the line and they are positively engaged on that front, so I'm relatively confident that when the crunch time arrives they'll be willing and ready to provide their input.
This is what Obama has done and I think it's the only way to guarantee successful change.

History disagrees.
Also: well said, Scots.

Here's a question for those overseas: about what percentage of your primetime television consists of shows where people use guns? How many movies have come out in your country featuring some variant of gunfight?
seriously, stop, you'll make me physically sick

Seriously, stfu. That was a legitimate question to satisfy my personal curiosity.
