In what way is that "simpler"?

And the 3x20 is just spare floating around fyi. Its part of what I call my whim money.
The minute you walked in the joint, (bom, bom) I could see you were a man of distinction...

Well, technically I guess it's not really simpler, but at least it ticks fewer people off. ;)

To be honest, if you get this riled about every reply that quotes a post just above, even if it's in a fast-moving thread and it's a one-line-quote-one-line-reply post, then you need to get out more and do something fun with those 3x£20.
You didn't read the original post and thread title properly.

At least we don't have any of those damn dirty brain-damaged top-posters around here.
Nameless Voice on 7/12/2009 at 01:51
I generally reply to PMs like that, though that probably doesn't count.
Enchantermon on 7/12/2009 at 02:27
As do I, but like you said, that doesn't really count. In PMs, if you don't quote the previous message, then the recipient has no reference back to earlier messages without opening them in separate windows/tabs.

Quoting is a good way to preserve certain posts from being edited.

I did. I was called out on quoting a relatively short post (not one sentence, but not much longer than that IIRC) and adding a comment, something which I thought at the time would go under "judicial quoting", but I quickly found out that it wasn't. People have different ideas of what counts as "judicial".
BTW, ZylonBane (or anyone else): what are top-posters?

Thirith, go to the Members list and sort by post count.
You'll see what he means.
