You mean you will still be able to do side quests and join guilds?
Logically, the game needs an ending, and I thought that it wouldn't be possible to go on after finishing the main quest. So I was planning to finish all side quests first. But if I'm wrong supposing the game ends with the main quest completion, then.... how does the end of the game appear to look like? Or it has no ending at all? I mean there should be some final scene followed by credits.....And it is appropriate to appear right after ending the main quest...
Much like
Morrowind,
Oblivion does not have an ending. The main quest has an ending (a mighty impressive one), but there's a ton of other stuff to do. In fact, some people recommend that you do the main quest first, to get it out of the way and get rid of all those gates.
If you want to see the credits, click the "credits" button on the main screen.

One of the suspects mentions that they had a meal in the dining hall ... perhaps you should check there. Very carefully. Don't get your boots dirty!

Then how will you
know you've finished
all the quests?

I dont see how you could finish ALL of the quest's without spending dunno months maybe on it. Main of course, then theres all the guild quest with some side quest thrown in with the guild quest(You dont get em unless your in the guild and reach a certain point). thieves guild, mage guild, fighter guild and dark brotherhood. Daedric shrine quest. Plus theres a ton of side quest's you can do. reuniting long lost brothers, finding paintings, finding long hidden artifacts, finding religious statues, returning special items just to name a few.
I am level 38 and I still have plenty of side quests to finish.
You need to talk to everyone to find all of the quest and thats a lot of talking :P

but you wouldn't just quit, without knowing there's no quests left, or would you?:) Wouldn't you wake up at night, cold-sweat, wondering if maybe you'd missed the most wonderful quest of your life?? :p

And of course there are a few 'quests' that aren't even counted as quests for journal purposes.

And of course I know who to ask - you seem to know just everything about them :)

But will I be able to do it at such level? If I go for the main quest
first, I believe I would have neither skills nor nice weapon to fight. I could carry much less weapon for my strength level is too small at the start. Is one really able to go into Oblivion gates and succeed at that point?

It's certainly possible, and not overly hard. Remember that the enemies level up with you, so even though you'll be at a low level, they'll not be massively strong either.
Plus while you play the quest, you'll be levelling up and gaining equipment just by doing the quest.

You'll probably end up fighting scamps and clannfears all the way through the quest :p, but yeah, it can be done.
