questions (spoliers) - by John D.

I've just recently started playing Deusex and I have several questions. 1. I've done the anarchy and supercomputer endings but I cant seem to find all 4 reactors to do the Illuminati one. 2. When you encounter the bad mechanic and see the body nearby, is there any way you can warn your pilot buddy and avert his death that occurs later on? 3. Is there anyway your brother Paul can be saved? I beat back the inital wave of attackers and the ones in the hall before I left, but he still ended up dead anyway. 4. Do you get captured afterwards no matter what you do? or is there a way to avoid it? 5. Who's the guy in Hong Kong that runs up to you in a small bar and offers you blueprints, but then backs off when he realizes you arent your brother? Thanks for any insight!

Can't answer all of them so...
2 - Kill the mechanic, find the real one then talk to Jock.
3 - As long as you do not escape through the window, he will survive. Actually what you can do is just let yourself get killed in the apartment. You will wake up in the prison.
4 - You always get captured. Sooner or later.

Which ones did you find? I don't remember the exact locations, sorry.

Yes. You can go back and ask the big boss (I don't remember his name) about him (that will trigger a new discussion with Jock), or kill him right there, and then explain Jock why you did it.

Escaping through the window will "kill" Paul. No matter what you do in this level, always use the door to leave the room, not the window. It's the only way to save Paul.

You can't avoid it, it's a forced failure. Some managed to get to the chopper, but Jock doesn't do anything to help.

If you insist, you'll get blueprints (and maybe some ammo too, I don't remember) that will help you infiltrate the VersaLife building later on :)

Thanks! I've already figured out the Illuminati ending, I'll try the other stuff when I make a second run through the game. BTW-I HATE GRAYS! (loads shotgun) those things scare the hell out of me! :thumb:

Eh? I tried to persuade him but nothing happens.

Be a bit more persistent. He'll change his mind eventually. You *might* also need to talk to the bartender. I'm not certain.

Yeah, just keep talking with the guy, he'll trust you after awhile. I think he had VersaLife blueprints, thermoptic camo and a scramble nade forsale, with rather iffy prises. I never bothered to get them.
