31 - Will the game include "classic Thief moments" such as breaking into something and then getting out (with alarmed guards)?
32 - Can we expect levels/level designs similar/based on The Lost City or Down in the Boneheard so that you can get actually lost without properly knowing and remembering your surroundings?
33 - Will there be any horror elements/moments?
34 - How factual will objectives be? Do we have to find things out (like in Soulforge) or will we get something like marker?
35 - How big is the smallest level in the game? (Comparison to any Thief OM or FM appreciated)
36 - How much non-linear will game be? Will every gamer encounter "burning bridge sequence" on every playthrough?
37 - Will the guards spot rope arrows (like in Dark Mod) or are they in the places where guards "will not dare"?
38 - Are guards able to search for us in places out of their "guarding zone"?
39 - Why do you think sword combat in first games did not work?
Thanks, that is all for now, hopefully you understood well (as I am not native speaker of english)

I second all of these questions... the original Thief games had huge levels that really allowed for emergent gameplay and non-linear experience, leading to infinite replay value. No other stealth franchise had managed that in my mind. The Deus Ex: HR / Splinter Cell model of "a few choices here, a few sprinkled there" does not emergent gameplay make.
39: Will you be able to walk around entire buildings of interest? In the first 2 thief games (think Assassins / City Bank & Trust), you could scope out the entire building before entering and executing your plan. Will this sort of thing be possible in Thi4f? In thief 3, this was mostly abandoned (presumably due to RAM issues) which really killed the experience in comparison.

40 - Jenivere is a strange name for bird, where did you get that name?
Btw. there are already lot of questions, do you think that community manager will come over here anytime soon? Anyways I don't get all this secrecy (like with swimmable water:tsktsk:), it reminds me of stupid reviews embargos for some games before their release (hopefully this is not the case:cheeky:)

You're not serious, are you? Are you being sarcastic? Sorry, you're new here and I don't know you yet, so I can't tell at this point if you're serious or not.

I am seriously asking this question, because answer will be (sort of) "I think it is a great name for a bird, my wife came up with it" or "It is a nod for you, so you can see how much we like original games" (or they can say Jenivere died and Basso renamed his bird after her:ebil:). But hey, they can ignore that question, I am just interested in knowing what was behind it. Anyways I am asking "serious" questions few posts above.

I'd say it was a sarcastic 'nod' to us Taffers, because it sure as hell wasn't flattering, imo. Nor did it give me the warm/fuzzies just because they used the name 'Jenivere'. Just my opinion; it hit me the wrong way when I learned of it. Pretty much like everything else EM's done to the Thief saga.

Two points...
1. That Jenivere thing was most probably just a tasteless joke, not something that will actually appear in the game.
2. B1sk1t said that they will not answer any more questions here, iirc.

Looking over your posting history at the Eidos forums, you don't appear to have been active on the Thief forum until after your trip to E3. Is it fair to say your perspective is not that of a hardcore Thief fan? Looks like you're all Deus Ex over there.

That's pretty fair. I was certainly more on the DX side of the fanbase for the E3, while Master Taffer was more Thief focused, and Jerion and Spyhopping were more evenly split between the two. That said, I have played all of the previous Thief games*, so I'm hardly a newcomer to the franchise.
I totally missed this from about a week ago. I shouldn't be surprised, at all, but for some reason I still am. Maybe appalled is more like it.
So to recap, EM decides to send a group of "community" representatives to play the new Thief game at E3, and they decide to send:
-4 official moderators
-1 guy who's never posted in the Thief forums before, EVER, either here or EM's boards (but he's a real big DXHR fan, so I guess that's supposed to mean something).
Huh?
No offense to you Ashpolt, because you seem like a really nice person, but that really is just absurd when you think about it. I don't think EM could have chosen any more of an inappropriate group as a whole if they had tried really hard to. What would top that?
"Well, we decided to send the grandmothers of everyone on staff here at EM to play the new Thief game! They will report back shortly with their honest opinion! Stay tuned!"
:tsktsk:

I didn't like that joke/nod or whatever either.

Here means TTLG or this thread? And if TTLG, do you know why?
Dia on 14/7/2013 at 12:33
Read Brethren's post directly before yours. A lot of us questioned b1skit's, ashpolt's, & skyhopper's motives in joining TTLG in the first place. Without going back and actually re-reading all their responses, I had the impression that there was more EM/T4 hype going on than actual answering of honest questions. A lot of us felt that they were here (in the guise of answering questions) to, basically, 'shout-down' those of us who are less than thrilled with what we've already seen/heard/read regarding T4.
